Microsoft Office iPad suite updated, support for mice and trackpads now available

This should come in handy.

The Microsoft Office iPad have been updated with full support for trackpads and mice, thereby bringing them in line with other iPad productivity apps.

The updates also bring start screens and the well known ribbon to these apps for the first time.

Microsoft offered the following comments regarding the updates:

And using a mouse or trackpad with iPad for common tasks like highlighting a passage of text in Word, selecting a range of cells in Excel, and moving and resizing graphics in PowerPoint are as simple and intuitive as ever. This experience will be immediately familiar to anyone who has ever used Office on a Mac or a PC and helps make iPad even more versatile and capable for getting more work done.

Office iPad requires iOS or iPadOS 13.0 or later to install and run.

If you’ve had a chance to try the updates and have any feedback to offer, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
