Motorola, Phone.Com Sign Agreement over WAP

Motorola futher strengthened their commitment to the WAP standard for wireless web content delivery by signing a strategic agreement with Phone.Com, according to their press release (“Motorola and Phone.Com Sign Strategic Agreement forLicensing and Distribution Of Phone.Com WAP Server andMicrobrowser“). Motorola’s iDEN i1000plus and i500plus digital phones already use the microbrowser, called UP.Browser. The idea behind WAP is to let Web-based services deliver information to your mobile phone, without using any additional devices, optimized for display on a mobile phone.
