NES Emulator for iPhone in the Works

In spite of the unlocking efforts, the pros and cons and everything else centering around the iPhone, it’s nice to know that someone’s working on bringing something incredibly fun as well as capable of wasting vast amounts of time to the handset.
According to the guys at The Unofficial Apple Weblog, a programmer referring to himself as “stepwhite” has ported the InfoNES core over to the iPhone, allowing the device to run emulation for classic Nintendo ROMs such as Super Mario Brothers, Zelda and Punch Out.
The emulator is currently still in progress and too slow to run at a playable speed.
Take a gander at the YouTube video and if you have thoughts, feedback or ideas on this, let us know in the comments of forums.
