NetFront 3 from Access Inc. is the new Web browser for the new Sony Clie NX series of Palm OS 5 PDAs. NetFront was first released in 1995 and has shipped over 18 million copies for various information appliances.

It’s being used in TVs, PDAs, Web Phones, video game consoles, email terminals, kiosks, and car navigation systems to name a few. It supports SSL, JavaScript, cookies, encryption, and several other Web standards and protocols. The application’s interface is pretty straightforward with icons for connecting, refreshing, saving, zooming, and status.

You can easily bookmark and add URLs with the included shortcuts. The screen shots (coming soon) were taken with a Clie NX70V running the new WiFi CF card from Sony. The entire Web page downloaded in about five seconds including all of the graphics! Finally Palm users have a great Web browser included for free on the new Clies to be released later this month.
