The US$17.99 Personality Pack by Parallel Design has been updated for the Palm m505 and IBM c505. It consists of a flip-up cover that clips to the top of the Palm. The clip-on cover clicks into the utility slot at the back. It has no spring and works by friction. Covers come in either black or translucent colors. The translucent covers let you see your Palm screen without having to flip up the cover, convenient for checking to see if it’s switched on.

The cover is very light weight, about 16 grams and projects only a millimeter or two above the screen. If you like the small size and light weight of your Palm, this cover allows you to enjoy those benefits while protecting just your screen. It did not tend to open accidentally but was sometimes fussy to open using the fingernail recesses molded into the underside of the cover.
Available colors are Sapphire, Sapphire Ice, Diamond, Carbon, Graphite and Crystal. My personal favorite is the clear Crystal which will let you read the screen while closed to access any data that you can get to without needing to use the stylus. The translucent covers also show fewer streaks and smudges than the solid black. This product does not fit the m500. Also, gone is the stylus holder that comes with the Palm V product.
