Popular iOS apps such as Waze, Spotify, and others experiencing crashes under iOS 13 due to conflicts with Facebook SDK

If your Waze and Spotify apps aren’t working on your devices running iOS 13, it could somewhat be Facebook’s fault.

Recently, a developer stated in an interview with Business Insider that Facebook’s Software Development Kit (SDK) is likely the source of the problem.

Spotify acknowledged the problem in a Tweet:

Replies from its support account to users said that there is no known timeframe for a fix but that developers are working on it. Other popular apps also not working at the moment include Google-owned mapping tool, Waze, Pinterest, Tinder, PUBG Mobile, and Mario Kart.

Should Facebook’s code be the issue, this will mark the second time it has caused crashes for iOS users in recent months, as a number of apps experienced difficulties coexisting with the Facebook app back in May.

If you’ve seen these issues on your end, please let us know about your experiences in the comments.
