PPUG Meets This Weekend!

The Philadelphia PowerBook User Group (PPUG) will meeting this Saturday (tomorrow) 21 September 2002 at the Manayunk Brewing Company at 12 noon. We are looking forward to a large turn out. It’s been quite a while since the last meeting in Manayunk. If you find yourself in the Philadelphia area, please stop on by.

1. Jason O’Grady will be attending to share his knowledge of upcoming products and technologies.

2. I would like to set a date for the next scheduled meeting at each quarterly meeting, That way, we will always have a schedule that is good for one year. Future meetings are tentatively scheduled for:

  • December 7th 2002
  • March 15th 2003
  • June 21st 2003

For those already using iCal, you should be able to subscribe to the PPUGcalendar using this link: webcal://ical.mac.com/rsnow/PPUG32meetings.ics.

3. We want to encourage people to bring equipment to sell or swap. These exchanges are between participating individuals and we cannot vouch for the condition of any equipment or reputation of the traders. I think a lot of folks are interested in equipment and would benefit from the interchange. This is not for commercial vendors, just a friendly swap table.

4. Our last meeting occurred shortly before Macworld Expo NY. Those who attended are encouraged to share their experiences. I am sure that the recent release of OS-X.ii – Jaguar – will also serve as a topic for discussion.

5. Rob Parker has a copy of Jaguar to give away at this meeting!
