Review: SmartDisk PowerPlay Pro

Great job to SmartDisk for making the PowerPlay Pro.

So often technology developers miss the point when it comes to the user experience. This is not the case with SmartDisk’s PowerPlay Pro. The product is so easy to use. I was originally in search of a USB Hard Drive to keep on my keychain when I cam across the PowerPlay Pro. It comes with a 32MB USB hard drive. The hard drive is plug-and-play, no software installation required and works seamlessly and transparently on a Mac or windows machine. The main feature of the PowerPlay Pro is the remote control for PowerPoint and Keynote. It works like a charm, again, plug-and-play with no software to install. What a pleasure.

The PowerPlay Pro (US$79) is easy to use and highly recommended.

PowerPlay is a compact, wireless remote control for your computer. There are 2 versions to choose from to suit your needs. PowerPlay Basic includes the controller and receiver with a built-in laser pointer. PowerPlay Pro includes the controller and receiver with 32MB of flash memory built in along with the laser pointer. Both versions are USB compatible and can be used for both Windows and Macintosh computers. Setup is a snap requiring no cables or software installation.
