The Genius Bar and its associated web site might be getting revamped in the new future.

A rumor has stated that Apple will begin changing the Genius Bar and its corresponding web site as of Tuesday, August 25th. Through these changes, Apple reportedly plans to move Genius Bar online appointments pages from their separate “Concierge” site into individual Apple Store pages

The new updated web-based service has also been re-written with a focus on accessibility and mobile devices. “Customers with visual or hearing impairments can more easily use the Concierge system,” Apple wrote in a note to retail employees about the upcoming change. As for mobile optimization, the new system will have a unique user interface depending on whether it is used on a desktop, smartphone, or tablet.

Sources have also stated that the Workshop appointment services will see some changes as well.

Apple is apparently looking to simplify things into three categories of workshops: Discover, Create, and Organize. This should make it a bit easier for customers to find and schedule workshops for topics that pertain to them.

Finally, the updated website will have deep social integration for sharing Workshops via Twitter, Facebook, Weibo, QQ, and email.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
