Solution for iPhoto's Default Library Location

This is a solution I want to share with all you iPhoto fans for the storage problem. After reading a previous Go2Mac article (“iPhoto Notes: iPhoto Needs Some Tweaking) I thought that this tip might be useful to those people that are confident to work with terminal, even if they are not Unix Experts.


This is a solution I want to share with all you iPhoto fans for the storage problem. After reading a previous Go2Mac article (“iPhoto Notes: iPhoto Needs Some Tweaking) I thought that this tip might be useful to those people that are confident to work with terminal, even if they are not Unix Experts.

I found in the Mac OS X Hints Web site a great article on how to change the default location for iPhoto’s Library. Now you can set to any folder on any partition to be the default location for iPhoto’s library. I even designated the same location for other users in my computer and now we can all work with the same library.
