I came across the Waterfield iPod cases while looking for a case that would adequately replace my aging “incase” but do justice to the iPod at the same time – not an easy task. Waterfield conjures up memories of cool PowerBook luggage [sleevecase, bag], so when I heard that they were making an iPod case, I had to check it out.

Features Include:

  • Instant access to everything
  • Padded top slot allows the use of any iPod compatible headphone
  • Removable rear clip grabs on to virtually Anything (belt, wad of clothing, car ashtray, ear lobe)
  • Padded front flap protects and serves as pocket for ear bud storage
  • Choice of three Playball colors (Nylon Stadium Seating Material with 600,000 double rub strength)
  • Mesh rear panel for comfortable heat transfer
  • Top rear Escape Hatch for inserting and extracting iPod

Most of all I was looking for a case that could stand up to the elements. The first test was extreme weather and my faithful iPod returned unscathed from a riding session in Stratton, VT after it dumped 15.5-inches of new snow.

The Super Dooper iPod Case from Waterfield Designs is strong, durable and hellishly good looking. It even held up like champ while riding the trails at Stratton keeping my iPod safe in the breast pocket of my ski jacket. The cases are available from Waterfield Designs in red, white and blue. Orders placed today will ship in the “third week of February” according to the Web site.
