Apple is now offering two-hour free delivery for some items through December 24 throughout the United States and Canada

If you’re looking to get an Apple present to your house in a hurry, you’re in luck.

Apple has begun offering free two-hour delivery on eligible, in-stock products for those who still need to do some last-minute gift shopping. The delivery update is available through December 24 in most metro areas of the U.S. and Canada, while three-hour delivery is available as an option throughout Australia.

The two-hour delivery option is provided through courier companies that Apple has partnered with, such as Uber Eats and Postmates, and typically retails for $9. The items are available through local Apple Store retail locations, so the items will need to be in stock before the order is placed.

The offer is available for purchases of iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, Apple TV, and Beats headphones. It is not available for custom Macs or engraved orders, nor is it applicable to accessories. Some accessories and products are also still available for December 24th delivery with express shipping.

Apple is still providing an extended return policy, so items purchased now can be returned through January 6, 2026.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.

  • Rumor: Supply constraints, historical timelines hint at M5-based products en route for October launch

Rumor: Supply constraints, historical timelines hint at M5-based products en route for October launch

The rumor and speculation mill is now in overdrive as constrained supplies of the M4 iPad Pro and the lower-end 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro at Apple retail locations are the best signs yet that M5-based deveices are on their way.

Following September’s iPhone event, Apple is anticipated to launch more hardware later in the fall. If supply levels through Apple’s retail operations are an indicator, it could happen in the near future.

Per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, supplies of the M4 iPad Pro are “fairly constrained” in Apple Store locations. In a recent X post, Gurman wrote that online shipments for the iPad Pro have also started to be delayed until between October 21 and October 28 for some configurations.

AppleInsider has also checked Apple’s online storefront and confirmed delayed shipments for the 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro. The website was not able to confirm online shipments were delayed for the iPad Pro.

In addition to this, Apple has also historically seen product constraints until the end of October for some custom configurations.. This doesn’t seem to be the case for the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, and this could mean the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 is also on the way.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is also unaffected, but that may be because the current version is sold with M4 Pro and M4 Max, not the base M4 chip.

Finally, Apple has often released new products around October, and the date range matches

A returning timescaleApple’s usual routine for shipping Apple Silicon models. Apple tends to launch the base M-series chip first in a few entry level models, then brings out the Pro and Pro Max versions a few months later. This first wave usually includes the iPad Pro and the base versions of MacBook Pro, along with the Mac mini.

  • Rumor: Apple to launch Vision Pro headset on January 26

Rumor: Apple to launch Vision Pro headset on January 26

The rumor mill continues to churn and it’s stating that the Apple Vision Pro headset might launch sooner than expected, with a possible launch day of January 26.

Per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a series of supply chain rumors have pointed towards January 26, while Apple itself promised an “early 2024” release window through its announcement of the headset back at WWDC in June 2023.

Gurman’s article lines up with what has been heard from independent sources, and it’s thought that Apple Retail is preparing for the initial launch through January with training and in-store units.

Apple has been clear about how it intends to roll out Apple Vision Pro in retail. Customers will need to physically come to an Apple Store to be fitted for a unit.

It’s also been rumored that the in-store experience will be used as a means to educate the user for an initial setup. Many will likely be fitted in-store and sent home with a receipt to await delivery.

The key limiting factor for in-store pickup could likely be the prescription lenses required for users who wear glasses. Apple’s retail locations are expected to have a small stock of standard prescriptions available.

The Apple Vision Pro will retail for $3,499, but Apple hasn’t shared how that price accounts for accessories like a custom visor or prescription lenses. The launch date will likely be revealed by Apple soon to give customers time to plan finances and a visit to the Apple Store.

  • Apple publishes holiday shopping guide, announces deadlines and shipping times for orders

Apple publishes holiday shopping guide, announces deadlines and shipping times for orders

As nifty as Black Friday through Cyber Monday sales can be, there’s still the matter of knowing when to order by in order to get your stuff on time.

Apple on Thursday released its holiday shopping guide in the United States and other countries that outlines deadlines for customers looking to order gifts online for arrival by December 24.

The company seems to have ample stock of all of its main products heading into the holiday season, and Apple has stated that most products can be ordered up until December 21 in time for Christmas.

For items that need to be personally engraved, Apple has stated that two additional days are required, moving the order date up to December 19 at the latest. The lone exception to that is AirTags, which must be ordered by December 12 if you wish to have them engraved. Finally, physical gift cards must be ordered by December 19.

While these deadlines are for shipments of orders placed through Apple’s online store, the company says customers may still be able to get orders in time after the deadline if items are in stock and customers choose Apple Pickup or 2-hour delivery from a local Apple Store.

Deadlines outside the US can vary to some degree, and a flat December 21 deadline is in place for all products, including engraved ones, in Germany, alongside a flate December 22 deadline for products ordered within the United Kingdom.

Apple may update the deadlines on these pages in the coming weeks as it assesses product availability, so it pays to keep an eye on it and ensure you order in plenty of time to receive your items in time for the holidays.

Finally, Apple’s extended return policy is also now in effect, and allows for items purchased in most countries between November 3 and December 25 to be returned through January 8, 2024. Select countries have a longer window with items purchased between November 4 and January 6 able to be returned through January 20, 2024.
