  • Chick-Fil-A announces full Apple Pay support, will complete migration by Friday

    You can now snag Chick-Fil-A with Apple Pay.

    Apple Pay has expanded to all Chick-Fil-A locations. According to today’s tweet, however, Apple Pay will be accepted at all Chick-Fil-A locations as of this Friday, August 19th. The mobile payment platform will be supported in-store and in the drive thru.

    Chick-Fil-A’s adoption of Apple Pay comes after the company has experimented with QR-based solutions in the past. Those solutions ultimately failed, according to employees, much like other QR-based offerings we’ve seen. Chick-Fil-A has, however, supported Apple Pay in its recently revamped app on iOS.

  • CVS currently testing Apple Pay, other mobile payment systems

    It looks like Apple Pay may be coming to CVS in the near future.

    While the pharmacy chain has yet to announce an actual launch date, it has stated that it is currently “evaluating” mobile payment options.

    Accounts of miscellaneous CVS locations accepting Apple Pay transactions have occurred for about a month on Twitter, and a recent tip suggests transactions are working at a location in Key West, Fla.

  • Kohl’s adopts Apple Pay, links service to charge, reward cards

    You can now use Apple Pay at some Kohl’s locations.

    Which isn’t a bad thing.

    Kohl’s has stated that the department store chain now accepts Apple Pay and that Apple Pay users can now pay with a Kohl’s Charge card and earn Yes2You Rewards points at the same. This makes it the first Apple Pay retailer to combine store card payments and rewards in a single-tap transaction.

    Roughly 250 Kohl’s locations currently support the option and the company has said that this should be available in all locations by the end of the month, according to company representatives. The system will work automatically so long as a person has both their Charge and Yes2You cards linked to Apple Pay.
