    On Thursday, software developer Telestream has released version 3.2.0.16 of Flip4Mac, its QuickTime components package which allows for Windows Media files to be viewed, imported and converted under Mac OS X. The new release, an 85.8 megabyte download, includes the following fixes and changes:

    New Features:
    – New in-app stores purchasing.

    Fixes and Enhancements:
    – Dramatically improved the loading time for ASF files (.wmv, .wma, .wm, .wmp, .asf, etc.).

    Flip4Mac 3.2.0.16 is available for free but can go as high as US$179 depending on the version purchased. The new version requires an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.7 or later to install and run.

    Late last week, software developer Telestream has released version 3.1.0.24 of Flip4Mac, its QuickTime components package which allows for Windows Media files to be viewed, imported and converted under Mac OS X. The new release, a 66.3 megabyte download, includes the following fixes and changes:

    New Features:
    – Added support for Retina displays.

    – Added the ability to export to iTunes from Flip Player, including exporting both audio and video, or exporting just the audio portion of a movie.

    – Added iPad mini and iPod Nano scaling presets.

    Fixes and Enhancements:
    – Fixed a bug that prevented Flip4Mac from playing ASX files with a bad first entry but a valid second entry.

    – Fixed a bug that prevented exports from the Mac App Store version of ScreenFlow due to a sandboxing violation.

    – Fixed a bug that could cause Flip Player to crash if a movie was closed while being loaded for trimming.

    Flip4Mac 3.1.0.24 is available for free but can go as high as US$179 depending on the version purchased. The new version requires an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.7 or later to install and run.

    Early Wednesday, software developer Telestream has released version 2.4.2.4 of Flip4Mac, its QuickTime components package which allows for Windows Media files to be viewed, imported and converted under Mac OS X. The new release, a 25.2 megabyte download, includes the following fixes and changes:

    – Fixed possible crashing and display issues in the browser plugin.

    – Numerous fixes in the licensing engine to deal with closed networks and new installations under Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.

    Flip4Mac 2.4.2.4 is available for free but can go as high as US$179 depending on the version purchased. The new version requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later to install and run.

    Early Wednesday, software developer Telestream has released version 2.4.1.4 of Flip4Mac, its QuickTime components package which allows for Windows Media files to be viewed, imported and converted under Mac OS X. The new release, a 24 megabyte download, includes the following fixes and changes:

    – Added a progress indicator while waiting for streams to buffer in web browsers.

    – Fixes an export scaling issue that causes video quality issues with source frame sizes not divisible by four.

    – Fixes a problem exporting Silverlight templates.

    – Fixes numerous problems in the Web browser plug-in that prevented streaming and playback of various sites and other problems with clicking and scrolling while in the plug-in.

    – Adds support for Windows Media scripting. Note that scripting only works with Web browsers running in 32-bit mode. You may need to select “Open in 32-bit mode” in Finder’s Info pane for Safari or Firefox for scripting to work.

    – Fixes a warning dialog issue with DRM protected content.

    Software developer Telestream has released version 2.3.2.6 of Flip4Mac, its QuickTime components package which allows for Windows Media files to be viewed, imported and converted under Mac OS X. The new release, a 19.7 megabyte download (courtesy of VersionTracker), includes the following fixes and changes:

    – Fixed problems playing back files and streams with MP3 content.
    – Corrected problems launching QuickTime Player under Snow Leopard.
    – Fixed possible deadlock while purchasing a license.
