Update:Today Apple announced version 1.3a3 of the USB DDK. Download this version instead of the one listed below.
Version 1.3a1 of Apple’s MacOS USB DDK (released in June) will enable support for many USB PC Cards, though we’re not sure if it works with Windows cards. Our own ADS Technologies PowerBook USB card (which is not currently shipping) now works well with this version of the DDK. We have yet to try cards from MacAlly and Ariston, however. If you have, please let us know about your experience. Also, be sure to read the documentation for this release carefully. It requires a resource modification (via ResEdit). The DDK requires OS 8.6.
