VST will be announcing at least one new product at Macworld Tokyo:
I recently asked this email question to VST, and their response was rather interesting:”Does VST have any aspirations to develop CD-RW products (expansion bay) for the Powerbook? None exist that I know of, and I am sure many Powerbook users would snatch em up! Thanks for your time, and I love your products!!!”The speedy response from one of their sales guy’s was as follows:”Although I have not heard of one yet, I would suggest checking out our site tomorrow afternoon!!!”Hmmmmmmm…what could this possibly mean for the Powerbook community? Goodies to coincide with Macworld Tokyo? Perhaps! Guess we’ll just have to wait and see like the rest of the world.
Go2mac editors who contacted VST, confirmed that a CD-RW device would in fact be announced at Macworld. However, the unit will be a USB equipped device and not the expansion bay module that many Powerbook users have been waiting for. Expected ship date for the USB CD-RW is Mid-March.
