With only one day left until the Watchening/first available pre-order of the Apple Watch, your best bet might be to order yours online.

Apple on Thursday confirmed that orders for the upcoming Apple Watch will be available exclusively online during the launch window, as the company expects that consumer demand will outstrip available supply of units.

The company issued a reminder stating that in-store previews and preorders will begin on Friday, ahead of the April 24th launch. But preorders will be available online-only, and users who try on the unit in stores will not be able to place an order in the store.

The scheduling and appointment-based changes that seem to be effective for the Genius Bar will apparently be used for Apple Watch try-ons and appointments.

Recently, sources have indicated that Apple will be focusing on appointments to try on and view the Apple Watch upon its release later this month. These changes, which are similar to those that have been implemented at the Genius Bar (wherein the Genius Bar will handle walk-in appointments by taking a customer’s cell phone number, encouraging them to walk around and then texting updates as to their waiting times), will also be used for Apple Watch customers.

Some leaked documents have revealed what may be in store for Apple Watch buyers come April.

Shoppers wanting to buy an Apple Watch from an Apple Store will not be able to pick one up without a prior reservation, at least at launch, according to a new report.

Prospective buyers will need to make a “Product Reservation” online to secure a specific model, eschewing Apple’ usual Personal Pickup option, according to leaked training documents obtained by MacRumors. The documents also reportedly state that if a person simply walks into an Apple Store, retail workers should offer the option to try on a Watch, but then help them place an order through Apple’s website or the official Apple Store app.

Apple on Monday updated a section of its Apple Pay website, adding a new feature that allows businesses to order Apple Pay decals for merchants.

Clicking the link to order decals takes merchants to a new Apple Pay Supplies website where they can sign up to receive an Apple Pay kit that contains window and register decals. In the kit, there are glass decals in two sizes, register decals in two sizes, and an application tool. Businesses can order up to five kits using the online tool, but larger decal orders require placing a phone call to Apple.

Kits are available at no cost after a company, name, email address, and shipping address are entered.

Many employees will see the watch in person for the first time at this point, and Apple will use the meetings to give them further training on the device. In its training materials, Apple has told employees they will “be the first to see Apple Watch, the first to try it on and the first to share it with the world.”

tradein

There’s now a reward system in place for turning non-iPhone smartphones in to Apple.

Sources have stated that Apple is planning to add Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone handsets to the list of acceptable trade-ins for its Reuse and Recycling Program, which exchanges used hardware for Apple Store gift cards.

Apple is apparently preparing to expand its Reuse and Recycling Program to include non-iOS handsets, including hardware running iOS nemesis Android.

Under Apple’s current program, first launched in 2011, iPhone users can nab an Apple Store gift card worth up to US$175 for a fully functional 64GB iPhone 5s. The company will reportedly offer similar deals for smartphones running Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone operating systems, but specific hardware grading criteria is unknown.
