    If you were hoping for an iTunes update that resolved some of the recently-introduced bugs, this is it.

    Late Monday, Apple released iTunes 12.2.1. The new version, a 232.8 megabyte download, offers the following fixes and changes:

    – Fixes an issue for iTunes Match where iTunes incorrectly changed some songs from Matched to Apple Music.

  • Some users report music library mangling after iTunes 12.2 update

    Following the release of iTunes 12.2, a number of users have expressed concerns that the update has somewhat mangled their iTunes music libraries after enabling iCloud Music Library.

    As reported by several outlets, users end up with a library full for scrambled titles, albums, and artists.

    And it possesses a new icon to be somewhat confused by.

    Late Tuesday, Apple released iTunes 12.2. The new version of the software, a 232.8 megabyte download, adds support for the Apple Music streaming service, complete with Beats 1 and Apple Radio as well.

  • Apple releases iOS 8.4 update, launches Apple Music streaming service

    iOS 8.4 is here.

    And so are the hefty changes to the Music app that have been noted over the past few weeks.

    Early Tuesday, Apple released iOS 8.4. The new version of the mobile operating system includes an overhauled Music app with access to Beats Music, Beats 1 and the new Apple Music streaming service.

  • Apple announces Apple Music streaming service, cites June 30th launch date

    You knew it was coming.

    It wasn’t like the universe needed another streaming music service, but Apple’s thrown its hat into the ring and announced “Beats One”, or the Apple Music service, which will be available for US$9.99 per month for a single account, US$14.99 per month for a family account and feature on-demand content and curated playlists. The service will launch on June 30 for Apple devices and Windows, but will also come to Android and Apple TV this fall.
