Apple closes all retail locations outside China until March 27th, reopens all 42 locations within Greater China

The good news is that all 42 of the Apple Store locations inside Greater China have reopened, albeit on varied hours, as the worst of the Coronavirus may be over within the country.

The bad news is that Apple has closed all of its other retail locations worldwide outside greater China in the wake of the Coronavirus.

Apple said the stores would be closed until March 27 in light of the worsening spread of the virus.

All the Apple Stores in China reopened on Friday. Some had been closed for over a month due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Apple stated that the Chinese locations would operations on special business hours. The locations would open at 10 AM and close at 8 PM. It also appears that the Today at Apple sessions have not yet resumed. The company was able to reopen 10 of its Chinese locations in February.

Sales in China have been badly affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Apple only sold just under 500,000 iPhones in the country in February, according to Chinese government data released on Monday.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
