Apple releases iOS 12.3.1 update, hones in on iMessage, VoLTE fixes

It might not be the most earth shattering update, but it could help.

On Friday, Apple released iOS 12.3.1, the newest version of its mobile operating system. The update offers the following fixes and changes:

  • Fixes an issue that could prevent making or receiving VoLTE calls
  • Fixes issues in Messages that could cause messages from unknown senders to appear in your conversation list even though Filter Unknown Senders is enabled
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent the Report Junk link from appearing in Messages threads from unknown senders

This also serves as a cleanup/bug fix right on the heels of iOS 12.3, which was released in early May. iOS 12.3 saw the redesigned TV app, Apple Pay for iTunes and App Store purchases, new types of Express Transit options, and more.

If you’ve had a chance to try iOS 12.3.1 and have any feedback to offer, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
