Apple releases macOS 10.14.4 Mojave update

Amid Monday’s announcement and software update-o-rama, Apple released macOS 10.14.4 Mojave, the long-awaited update to its Mac operating system.

The new version, which weighs in around a 2.5 gigabyte update, offers the following fixes and changes:

  • Full access to Apple’s newly-launched News+ service
  • Incorporates Safari Autofill for MacBooks with Touch ID
  • Automatic Dark Mode viewing in Safari for compatible websites
  • Push Notification management
  • Safari warnings for insecure websites
  • Support for second-gen AirPods
  • Air quality index reading for maps in the U.S., UK, and India
  • Real-time text for phone calls made through a nearby iPhone
  • USB audio device reliability improvements
  • Unspecified performance improvements, security enhancements and bug fixes. 

Apple’s macOS 10.14.4 Mojave is available for download through the Mac App Store’s Software Update mechanism.
