Alsoft is now taking order for DiskWarrior 3.0 via their website or phone. They say it will be shipped in April.

Ed: That’s great news; thanks for the tip. Alsoft says the new software it “not a simple port to Mac OS X” but instead has been extensively optimized for native Mac OS X repair, with dramatic speed improvements, support for file journaling, OS X RAIDs, Unicode, Apple security standards, native OS X memory models, and disks up to 2 terabytes. Sounds like a major step forward for a piece of software that already belongs in every user’s toolkit. If you’re like me, you wouldn’t be caught without a backup utility, Norton’s or TechTool, and DiskWarrior. Upgrade pricing varies depending on what version of DiskWarrior you bought when, from free up to US$39.95 + $7.95 shipping and handling. -PK
