This story comes to us from Tim Ipostino. Congratulations to Tim and Paul Dixon! Tim sends along this press release: “The Editors Guild announced this year’s ACE Eddie Awards last week and among them is “My Louisiana Sky”, edited by Paul Dixon, A.C.E. ”Ipostini, one of the most prolific supporters of Final Cut Pro, has completed more than 10 feature length films at their Marina del Rey facility. Ipostini President, Tim King, has been putting Final Cut Pro to the test for two years after many people in the post community told him it wouldn’t work. “Every day I’d hear someone say the upstart FCP software is ‘not ready for primetime’,” says King. “I think now Directors, Producers and Editors are starting to realize the value of working with FCP.” Critical acclaim for films like “My Louisiana Sky” is further evidence of its growing impact on the art of filmmaking.

”King is currently posting the Jeremy Irons, Sissy Spacek, Neve Campbell film, “Last Call” for Showtime.”
