Netscape 1.12 added to macintoshrepository.org

It was one of the seminal pieces of software that changed everything, and the cool cats at macintoshrepository.org now have it available for download.

Netscape Navigator 1.12 is now available for download at the website, with version 1.0N representing an evaluation copy prior to the official commercial release in 1994. If you’re in the mood to tinker, the software can install and run from Mac OS 7.0 to Mac OS 9.2, and requires at least 3MB of RAM to run.

It’s a cool piece of history, it helped bring a graphical user interface to the Web, and pushed software and computing forward almost overnight through its release, which makes it worth checking out.
