Rumor: iOS 13 said to focus on major iPad-based improvements

It’s a ways down the line, but some cool stuff seems to be in the works for iOS 13.

The current rumors, released by Mark Gurman, have it that iOS 13 is code-named “Yukon” and will incorporate the following new features:

– A new Files app

– Tabs within apps (similar to macOS)

– The ability to run two instances of the same app side-by-side

– Apple Pencil improvements

– File system improvements (like the ability for docs to live outside apps)

It’s also thought that iOS 12 will function as a maintenance release, focusing of performance and stability to iOS 11 while iOS 13 will feature more pronounced changes.

These are all still rumors at this point, so stay tuned for WWDC coverage to see where Apple stands on its road map to iOS 13.
