Software industry now officially bigger than Hollywood with Apple paying $10 billion to developers in 2014

It’s official: Software is now more profitable than Hollywood, baby. Per the results over at Asymco and the box office receipts over at Box Office Mojo, Apple’s App Store receipts outgrossed movie receipts in 2014.
