Apple offers limited-edition AirTags, retail promotion to help celebrate the new year in Japan

If you’re over in Japan, you’re going to like this.

To help celebrate the Japanese New Year, Apple has begun offering a two-day promotion as well as limited-edition AirTags.

Customers within Japan can receive a gift card worth up to 32,000 yen with the purchase of an eligible Apple product from January 2 to January 3. They range from an 8,000 yen gift card with an Apple Watch or up to 32,000 yen for specific Mac models.

During the promotion, the first 30,000 customers who buy a new iPhone SE, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, or iPhone 13 mini will receive a limited-edition AirTag with a Year of the Rabbit engraving. That iPhone purchase also includes a gift card worth 8,000 yen.

Assorted terms and conditions also apply, and customers who purchased an eligible iPhone in the Apple Store App do not qualify for this promotion and will not receive a special edition of AirTag. The promotion is available at both Apple’s retail stores in Japan and the company’s online store.

If you’re in Japan and have an opportunity to snag this deal, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
