Apple releases firmware update version 2C54 for AirPods, AirPods Pro

Ladies and gentlemen, both the AirPods and the AirPods Pro have received a firmware update.

Both pairs of the earbuds received firmware updates on Monday, the update bringing the version to 2C54.

While it’s unknown as to what changes the firmware updates provide, you can install the new firmware via the following steps:

  1. Connect your AirPods to your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Go to General > About > AirPods > Firmware Version.

This, in turn, will push the download. You can also force the update by putting your AirPods in the case, connect the case to a power source, then pair them to your iOS device.

If you’ve had a chance to try out the new AirPods and AirPods Pro firmware and have any feedback to offer, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
