Apple releases iOS 15.5, iPadOS 15.5 updates

Apple on Monday released both iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5 to the public on Monday following the distribution of the release candidate last week. While the update doesn’t bring sweeping changes, is improves features such as the Apple Cash and Podcasts app.

Apple has offered the following change list for iOS 15.5:

  • Wallet now enables Apple Cash customers to send and request money from their Apple Cash card
  • Apple Podcasts includes a new setting to limit episodes stored on your iPhone and automatically delete older ones
  • Fixes an issue where home automations, triggered by people arriving or leaving, may fail

It’s unknown as to whether this update will be the last before the first iOS 16 beta, which should arrive shortly after WWDC 2022 in June.

If you’ve had a chance to try either iOS 15.5 or iPadOS 15.5, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
