Apple Silicon-based MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini now available for purchase online and at retail locations

Apple’s spiffy new M1-powered gear is now available online and via retail.

The company announced that the Apple Silicon-based MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini, each featuring the M1 chip, are now available via the Apple Store web site and open retail locations.

The 13-inch MacBook Air with an M1 chip starts at $999, the 13-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,299, with the Mac mini starting at $699. The newly released devices contain the first piece of Apple silicon to go into the company’s computers. The change heralds the start of a two-year transition away from Intel’s processors.
