You may think the Apple Watch is silly, but it’s selling. And a fair number of its buyers are snagging a second watch band. Research firm Slice Intelligence, which analyzed mail receipts from two million people, extrapolated that an estimated 2.79 million Apple Watch units have been sold since the device launched in April.
The Apple Watch sold a few units on preorder around the 10th. Almost one million units is the current guess.
