  • Apple Pay to launch in Ireland on Tuesday

    It looks like Apple Pay will arrive in Ireland this week.

    The payment platform is expected to launch on Tuesday according to two sources close to the story.

    In Ireland, Apple Pay will be supported by UlsterBank and KBC, both of which are multinational and have supported Apple Pay in other countries for some time now. Bank of Ireland and AIB are the biggest banks in Ireland with the latter supporting Android Pay.

  • Apple Pay to gain support, integration at more than 300,000 MORE loyalty card-based vending machines

    You’ll soon be able to use Apple Pay to buy additional snacks.

    Vending company USA Technologies announced today that Apple Pay is getting support for its MORE loyalty card and payroll deduct program that is accepted at more than 300,000 vending machines across the US.

    Following the integration, customers will be able to take advantage of offers, promotions and discounts at the self-serve machines.

  • Rumor: Apple to begin selling AirPods in its Apple Store retail locations on Monday, December 19th

    The current rumor has it that Apple will begin selling the long-awaited AirPods wireless headphones in its retail locations starting Monday, December 19th.

    An anonymous retail source has offered this information and has stated that Apple is currently informing stores about the imminent launch and shipping product to retail locations.

    Apple previously announced that AirPods would be in stores this coming week, but did not give specific information on when the in-store launch would take place. In addition to retail stores, carrier stores and Apple Authorized Resellers will also be receiving stock.

  • Apple announces launch of AirPods, initial units see delivery delays up to four weeks

    The good news is that the long-awaited AirPods will begin selling next week.

    The bad news is that there’s currently about a two to four week delay to get them.

    Apple announced that the wireless headphones will be available for purchase at Apple Stores, authorized resellers, and select carriers next week, providing customers who did not quickly pre-order with a chance to buy the wireless earphones before the end of the year. Apple said stores will receive “regular AirPods shipments.”

  • Apple Pay launches in New Zealand via ANZ bank partnership

    Apple Pay has come to New Zealand.

    The service launched in New Zealand on Wednesday, marking the 11th country where the service has come online.

    Apple Pay in New Zealand is available through a partnership with ANZ bank, meaning it can only be used with Visa credit and debit cards issued by ANZ at this time. Some banks in Australia and New Zealand have been reluctant to accept Apple Pay due to the fee Apple collects.
