Rumor: iPhone 15 Pro units could include titanium frame, 8GB of RAM, new haptic buttons, and other features

The rumor mill has kicked into overdrive, and according to tech analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 could see changes including a titanium frame, up to 8GB of RAM onboard, new haptic buttons and more.

In a recently published note, Pu stated that he expects the lineup to include a 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Pu also stated that he expects the iPhone 15 Pro lineup to jump from the 6GB of RAM found in the iPhone 14 Pro series to 8GB. Other new features could include the new A17 Bionic chip, featuring TSMC’s 3nm manufacturing process.

Additionally, Pu also indicates that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will likely see the A16 Bionic alongside 6GB of RAM. Interestingly, Pu also expects all four new devices to feature USB-C ports, as well as Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 modems.

For the Pro series, Pu stated that he expects the devices to ship with a titanium frame as well as haptic feedback in thanks to two additional Taptic Engines for the solid-state volume and power buttons. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also made predictions potentially confirming them.

Other predictions from Pu included the widely rumored periscope lens for the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s main camera. The analyst stated that he believes the devices will see a 48-megapixel rear camera, which is similar to the one currently found on the iPhone 14 Pro series.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
